To ombre' or not to ombre'.....that is the question.
When it comes to this trend in haircolor some people are a bit confused. To clarify a bit, this is what the ombre' is all about.
Ombre hair refers to hair color fading from dark to light, or vice versa. Instead of the color starting from the roots, it gradually becomes lighter, or darker, towards the ends. The word "ombre" in French means shadow or shade. Think Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City, Rachel Bilson, Whitney Port.
So, with that in mind, there are MANY possibilities with this technique. Darker rich golden browns fading into softer golden caramels or deep violets transitioning into a brighter lavender. You get the drift.
It's all about the transition. Not to mention the fact that you don't have to visit the salon as often for your color services.
Ombre haircolor is fun, different, and almost maintenance free.
